Because sometimes a Friday needs a baby animals video…

BONUS VIDEO… here’s a sneak peek at the new phonics sounds we will be studying next week courtesy of the Alphablocks.

We danced to Koo Koo Kanga Roo all year long and tomorrow Saturday June 4th they will be in town performing at the downtown Whole Foods at 10am! It’s FREE for kids and $5 for adults.

The whole school enjoyed the Cordova Quartet from the Univeristy of Texas, but maybe not as much as Vinson.

As we finish our “me on the map” project, we took some time out this morning to check out some videos of Earth from the International Space Station. One of our favorite activities was to guess which cities were the clusters of light. New York City, Austin, and San Antonio were popular guesses. It was a hit with everyone.

No school tomorrow! Stay warm and safe with the approaching icy weather.

Here are two class favorites dance videos to keep your kiddos moving while we are all trapped indoors during the upcoming cold weather.

See you on Friday!

Our class been studying the short-a sound. Below are two of our favorite short-a videos and songs.

Have fun!

After we finished all of our track and field events we decided to take part in the old school track and field event: The Tug-of-War.

Enjoy the old school video of an old school event.

Mr. Benoit’s class vs. Mr. Benoit’s class.

It was a close call, but I think Mr. Benoit’s class won.

Long time no see… How was your spring break? I hope you had a fun week full of adventures.

Before the break our class celebrated Vietnamese New Year with some help from our Vietnamese teacher and Music teacher. Below is a video of our class singing a song in both Vietnamese and English at Friday assembly. Enjoy!

Here are some photos of the Vietnamese New Year celebration at Friday assembly.

I hope everyone is well rested and ready to begin the final months of this school year! See you tomorrow!

Thank you to all the parents that made it out to the conferences. If you weren’t able to make it, just give me a call or email and we can reschedule for this week.

This week we are going to be studying the long i sound. Here is a fun little video for the kiddos.

See you on Tuesday!
